Patient Support Job Description

Working as our Patient Service Administrator, you will be part of a small, highly focused team providing an excellent patient telephone service by calling clients to book them in for their ultrasound appointments, ensuring medical files are up to date and referrals are loaded onto our systems. This is full time position, 37.5 hours a week working shifts between 08:00 - 19:00 Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays. We are unable to offer this as a part-time role.

As our Patient Services Administrator, your main duties and responsibilities will be:

· Warm calling clients to book them in for their Ultrasound appointment at one of our many clinics across the country·
· You will use IT systems to link appointments to a patient's medical file and update our instructing parties with the relevant information
· You will work as part of a team, and will be responsible for booking as many patients as possible to fulfil targets to fill our clinic spaces
· You will be responsible for following up your administration tasks
· You will be responsible for loading referrals if appropriate training has been given
· You will require versatility and attention to detail to meet the demands of our differing instructing parties and contracts.

To be considered to this role, you should be able to demonstrate you have the following qualifications/experience:

· Able to work full time, Monday to Friday with alternative Saturdays
· Experience within an outbound call centre; desirable but not essential
· Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
· Experience with patient contacts via phone; desirable
· A proven ability to meet targets and deadlines
· A 'can do' attitude is essential
· Good IT Skills
· A flexible approach with an ability to adapt quickly to meet the demands of a busy environment
· An excellent telephone manner
· Conscientious with a meticulous approach to dealing with detail
· Ability to demonstrate empathy
· Basic knowledge of data protection and information security
· Self-starter: ability to use initiative and work with the minimum of supervision
· Ability to adapt to new systems and challenges and use initiative to gain new skills
· Good attendance record
