Since 2003, Diagnostic World has been dedicated to providing high-quality community ultrasound services across the UK. Originally established to support NHS Leicester Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), we have grown significantly over the years and are now fully accredited under the NHS Clinical Services Framework, supporting over 100 NHS organisations nationwide - and counting.

Expanding Access Through Multiple Community Clinics
A key driver behind our success is our network of community clinics, strategically placed to enhance convenience for patients:
- In Leicester alone, most patients can reach a clinic within a 15-minute travel distance from their home.
- By positioning our services close to where people live, we reduce unnecessary hospital visits and help alleviate capacity pressures on the NHS.
- This approach leads to improved patient satisfaction while maintaining strict clinical and service-quality standards.
Consultant-Led Ultrasound Services
Our ultrasound scans are performed by a team of UK-trained Radiologists and Sonographers, each with over 10 years of NHS experience. This consultant-led approach ensures:
- Specialist Expertise: Faster, more accurate diagnoses and enhanced clinical oversight.
- Strong Collaboration: Quick reporting times and robust communication with referrers.
- Comprehensive Coverage: Scans for general abdominal, renal, gynaecological, testicular, and musculoskeletal (MSK) needs.
By maintaining a high level of clinical support, our services help patients and referrers trust that every scan is both efficient and clinically sound.
Reducing Wait Times, Improving Patient Care
As we continue to grow, reducing patient wait times remains a top priority:
- Appointment Within Two Weeks: Meeting our NHS contract standards so patients aren’t left waiting for vital diagnostics.
- On Average, 5 Working Days: In many cases, patients receive an appointment in just five working days.
- Next-Day Results: We aim to deliver scan results to the referring GP by the following day, accelerating pathways to treatment.
By bringing timely, consultant-led diagnostics into local communities, we align with the NHS-wide focus on faster patient access and enhanced satisfaction.
