For those new to ultrasound.
Typically:
UK Trained Radiographers, medical students, nurses, paramedics.
For Healthcare professionals with some ultrasound experience.
Typically:
- UK Trained, newly qualified Sonographers that require additional scanning / report writing, patient care and mentorship experience.
- Overseas with equivalent Post Graduate qualifications with a number of years’ experience of scanning and reporting.
For experienced sonographers, radiologists, emergency physicians, and specialists.
Typically:
- UK trained with a number of years’ experience seeking further career development, either through specialist practice (MSK, Interventional ultrasound) or a higher level qualification.
- Overseas experienced Radiologists that have specialised in Ultrasound that would like to work in the UK and work toward a case accredited qualification.

I’ve also valued the structured involvement of the auditors from the start. Their regular competency assessments and clinical audits not only ensure compliance but also foster continuous clinical excellence. Feedback is constructive and actionable.
